Ribbon cutting and Valentine’s bake sale a sweet treat for all!

The two day celebration kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, February 10th.

Following the ceremony, KHFK held a bake sale stocked with sweets galore which were donated by volunteers, with all profits benefitting KHFK.

In addition to all the delicious treats, there were also raffles and a door prize, generously donated by local artisans Linda Louise and Shelbi Palmer.

Kids in foster and kinship families each received a beautifully decorated Valentine’s basket filled with goodies.

The bake sale continued on Saturday, February 12th and the talented Dianne Enzian (of Diane’s ART FARM) held a paint class for the kids to enjoy and take home their creations.

KHFK is grateful for all of the donations that poured in from so many wonderful people!

As always, the KHFK staff and volunteers, led by owner Nicole Mitchell, worked hard to make this event a great success-but also managed to find a few minutes to pose for a smile and share some silliness!

Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, volunteered and came out to support Kind Hearts for Kids!
