Sunday‘s Monster Mash at Indian Head Resort was a child’s Halloween dream come true! The Mash included face painting, pumpkin carving and painting, pumpkin crafts, Halloween themed carnival games, a skull shaped bounce house, a DJ dance party, food, a hay ride and of course, trick or treating.
Thanks to the costume donations provided by so many of you, every child who wanted to was able to get a Halloween costume! We were visited by the sweetest Princesses, Pirates, dinosaurs, Power Rangers, zombies, cats, cowboys and so many more!!
After having their fill of games, arts and crafts, treats and lunch in the Festivities area, the kids then hopped onto a hay ride leading to the trunk or treat area where volunteers were set up with decorated cars in themes such as Harry Potter, Snoopy and Day of the Dead.
As the day wound down, the kids were invited to relax under the stars with popcorn, a blanket and a cozy chair to watch a Disney movie on the huge inflatable screen.
This year’s Monster Mash, the brain child of Kind Hearts for Kids founder, Nicole Mitchell, was a huge undertaking and a mega hit! Huge thanks to all involved before, during and after! It takes a village, and our village is pretty awesome!
